SCHULITZ ARCHITECTS

Who We Are
SCHULITZ ARCHITECTS LOGO

Schulitz Architekten is an architectural practice with an international reputation for design excellence based on innovationquality, and a rigorous approach to detailing.

Each commission is dealt with as a unique project, in which the design derives from the tension of the initial central design issues: the urban context, the functional content and the construction technology of the building, hence resulting in an individual solution.

The office has built a varied body of work ranging from private residences to mixed-use, civic, and major public buildings. In recent years, sports venues have become the core of the firm’s architectural pursuit. Their portfolio includes soccer stadiums, track-and-field stadiums, ice hockey arenas and swimming facilities.

SCHULITZ ARCHITECTS has been commissioned to design stadiums for the FIFA World Cup in 2006 in Germany (HDI-Arena Hanover) and FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil (Arena Fonte Nova, Salvador da Bahia, 50,000 spectators). The firm has received numerous design awards, including the IOC/IAKS Award for sports venues, such as the Lentpark in Cologne (Germany) and the stadium in Brazil.

The offices collaborative approach extends to its successful use of client workshops in the design process. The work of the office is noted for its solid understanding and use of architectural technology and a love for detail and execution, while striving to transcend technology to create great architecture.
